Early 1700's Dutch Bronze Cannon recovered from a shipwreck!
This cannon dates from the early 1700's and is in excellent condition.It is 41 inches in length
This carriage was built by Cannon Superstore contractors. It has an "antiqued" look and uses old hardware.
The original cost of the carriage alone in 2007 was $1,600 US$ + shipping.

This gun has a GREAT deep green patina from it years in brackish water.
It is exactly as recovered from the sea, except for extensive fresh water rinsing.
The inside bore is in excellent condition, as this cannon was found buried in mud in the shipwreck.

This cannon was cast in 1676 in Holland and was on a Dutch Man of war that was sank off the coast of South Africa in 1687 by a English Frigate in a heavy ship to ship battle in a hail of cannon fire, one of the balls hit the kegs of black powder stored in the powder magazine blowing up the ship. The ship sank in about 300 feet of water with all hands and it rested there for over 320 years, where it was recovered 5 years ago.

Very Rare 9+ foot Dutch 36 Pounder Iron Ships Cannon

You will never see another tremendous cannon like this one for sale in this near perfect condition!
We sold another one of these about five years ago from the same ship, without a carriage and this is only the second one we have ever seen available for sale.
The gun was made in the current city Belgium city Luik that used to be a part of Holland back in 1823 and was reported used on a French warship.
The one (above) was exported to Spain!
This extremely rare Dutch Naval 36 Pounder that is approximately 9 feet 3inches in length and weighs about 7000 pounds! Condition is pristine for an iron cannon this age. Price includes a custom made naval carriage for this cannon out of African Hardwoods that will last a hundred years outside even if un painted.
This is a French cannon that is 9 feet length and 24” in diameter with a bore of 6 and 1/4 inches.

This is not a "Sea Salvage" cannon and not taken from a sunken ship, so it does not require any conservation other then normal painting.
