Revolutionary War British 4 Pounder Iron Cannon on an ALL Metal Carriage for sale

This is a Revolutionary War British 4 Pounder iron gun in good condition.
The tube is a relic from the Revolutionary period and is marked marked with a crown.
Overall it is slightly pitted, needs some cleaning.
The carriage is an accurate field carriage the Revolutionary period which is an antique made of cast iron.  There is no wood at all in this, so it is EXCELLENT for displaying outside in any weather. It retains its painted finish.
It is a Gruebeval style carriage as used by the American and French army during the Revolution.
This gun with carriage is very heavy and would make a great outdoor display and would last forever outside.

The cannon is a British-made 4-pounder employing the Gruebeval carriage design system, a weapon frequently found in George Washington's Colonial Army. The photo below may possibly be the same cannon fired in 1975.

Please see below notes:

The cannon is overall pitted but will clean much better as it has not been touched for years. It is a four pounder with a nice big barrel and  the large crown is visible.
The carriage is great and remember there is no wood! The carriage is 100% correct. The Gruebeval wheels are super expensive to make.
We think the former owner has some history on the barrel (we are checking).
If somebody wants an outdoor display cannon for the Rev War -1812 era this is it!
We think if the barrel was cleaned and repainted it would look very very nice.
Once set in place it is not easily moved, but it does roll.
This may be a very early Park service carriage from a historic site, possibly Valley Forge? They had a lot of guns there in the 19th century. We are looking into it.

Antique European Naval Signal Cannon - Dating from the 1700's.

The height on this great piece is 8 inches with a 3.5 inch diameter at the base.
It is forged and not cast.
The weight is 4.6 Kilos ( 10.14 lbs.)

These were used in evenly spaced lines and ignited in sequence, ships within view were able to calculate their position and speed from the delay between seeing the flash and hearing the report.
They were also used for many other signaling needs on land and for testing gun powder to be sure it was good.

Well used with good nautical character and amazing design of a "face" and markings carved into the cannon.
There is a very prominent nose and eyes and the mouth is the firing hole and even some hair!
This is the first time we have seen anything like this before.

British Iron Cannons for sale

The story is that these cannons were used on large trading canoes on the Congo River (former Zaire). They used to be charged with shrapnel and nails for maximum effect when attacked.  These canoes transported mainly slaves and ivory to the coast stations at he mouth of the Congo river as they could navigate the sand banks.

Slavery was practiced in that area from 1500 to 1850 until slavery was abolished. The boats and the cannons remained in villages along the river, were the current owner found these two in the late 1970's.
